Colors of the time

- Luis Espiritu Jr. -

Manila, Philippines - SM Men’s Fashion successfully presented its latest mid-summer/pre-holiday collection at the Philippine Fashion Week on May 11 at the SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia. Strengthening the season’s color statement, the 40-piece cohesive collection  is taking men forward and beyond the convention. Crisp, bold and bright hues are breaking barriers and decoding the traditional manner of dressing. Key pieces such as polos, blazers, cardigans, knitted vests and turtlenecks strikingly define the new elements of standout style. One surely notices the smart color combinations fused with basic neutrals such as black or varying shades of gray. The updated style is all about fashion for the modern man who shouldn’t be afraid of color. Models strutted the runway with eye-popping hints of youthful tones that capture a feel-good vibe noteworthy of any attention.

SM Men’s Fashion is spearheading the latest move in updating the dress code. The total look of each ensemble is a fusion of mix and matching basic pieces to reinvent a whole new set of wardrobe. These covetable items came in up-to-date fabrication that defines what global fashion is all about today — comfort and style. The remarkable display of style-forward appeal echoed in the entire collection is taking local retail a step up in the world of menswear. The current movement sets a new and optimistic standard that not only equally levels local retail to global competence but more importantly exemplifies the defining style of the times.
