An enduring love
Theirs is an enduring love tested through time and strengthened by trials. After surpassing a series of political conflicts and controversies, the radiant bride, multinational corporation executive Karen Batungbacal, daughter of Ramon Batungbacal and wife Cecilia; and the dashing IT businessman Joey de Venecia III, son of former House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. and wife Pangasinan Rep. Gina de Venecia, finally walked down the aisle to exchange their wedding vows at the NBC Tent Garden in Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. It was one solemn and sentimental occasion attended by family, close friends and distinguished personalities from the who’s who of society. Most impressive was the couple’s list of principal sponsors led by former President Joseph Estrada, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Sen. Serge Osmeña III, former Makati Mayor Dr. Elenita Binay, Ambassador Isabel Caro Wilson and Ayala Corp. chairman and COO Fernando Zobel de Ayala.
After the beautiful wedding ceremony, the elegant dinner reception immediately followed in the same venue. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the glorious celebration made more memorable with delightful musical performances from Jaime de Venecia and The Rainmakers, who especially regrouped for the evening to sing the pair’s favorite songs. Everyone truly beamed with happiness as they became joyful witnesses to the couple’s most special day. All the best in your new life together, Joey and Karen!
