Beyond beauty

-

MANILA, Philippines - It was a whole day of celebration of all things beautiful!

The pressures and stress of daily life sometimes take their toll on the physical appearance of a person, leading to a rapid decline of interest and zest for life. What better way to handle such a situation than to be pampered all day, ensuring total beauty and wellness from head to toe?

Bioessence, one of the leaders in skincare and slimming treatments, successfully gathered almost a thousand attendees in the recently-concluded spa-party to celebrate its 16th anniversary. Dubbed Bioessence Beyond Beauty, the event was held at A. Venue Hall, Makati Avenue and gave away free beauty and wellness services like spa and facial regimen by Bioessence, haircut by David’s Salon, nail treatments by Celebrity Nails, makeup artistry by PAC, eyebrow threading and waxing by Lay Bare and blood analysis by Gowell. The event co-relates to the company’s objective that in order to live well, one must look and feel well. The venue has been turned into a place similar to a first-class spa in order to complete an atmosphere of total relaxation. The delighted guests excitedly took their pick from the available free services and stayed on until the grand raffle prize were drawn.

The event started with a ribbon-cutting and was attended by some members of the press. Event host Bb. Pilipinas 2007 second runner-up Abby Cruz facilitated the raffle draw where a P550,000 key to a facial spa business, a cruise for two to Palawan and Boracay, food cart business, two Swarovski MyPhone and two designer bags were given away as grand prizes. Minor prizes included five facial unlimited and five slimming unlimited certificates, gift certificates from Cinderella and Kia Motors and gift packs from Vernel and Walter Bread. In between, guest artist and talented singer Dingdong Avanzado rendered a special song number.

Furthermore, the event featured an inspiring talk on entrepreneurship while two of the leading pharmaceutical companies, Abbott and GSK, built up the guests’ awareness on weight management and cervical cancer respectively.

Not to be overlooked is the fashion show sponsored by Maldita. Maldita, known for its trendy clothes selection, showcased some of its latest in-store items. Clients and guests had fun having paparazzi shots by Camera Diary.

Food and drinks were also provided by generous sponsors like Ying Yang, AquaBest, MedChef, Yoshinoya and Ideal Macaroni.

Dr. Emma Guererro, president of Bioessence, expressed her gratitude to all the attendees and sponsors and said she looks forward to having more beauty and wellness events. Other sponsors who participated in this worthwhile event were Kia, Cinderella, Ozein, Swarovski MyPhone, Cruise 7107, Filtrepreneur, Fitreal, RCBC Bankard, Citibank and Peak Salon.
