Of art and ink
MANILA, Philippines - It was all raging art and ink as Tribal Gear Philippines presented the country’s biggest and grandest annual tattoo exposition at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The event once again created history as it celebrated its 10 solid years of art and ink dubbed as Dutdutan X.
The event gathered not only the country’s best tattoo artists, but also acclaimed inkers from all over the world. Participants from France, Guam, Singapore and Korea flew in to compete and share their own brand of skin art.
Guests from Tribal Gear San Diego, California, representing Tribal’s West Coast lifestyle, where tattoo is very much a part of one’s existence, also crashed in at the party. They were welcomed by Bobby Ruiz, founder/ owner of Tribal Gear; Wuv, drummer of POD; Franco Vescovi, renowned inker; and Willie T., multimedia artist.
Tribal Gear, the lifestyle brand that represents the hardcore, underground and alternative street scenes, continues to live up to its roots with the annual tattoo exposition. Since its inception, Tribal has always been synonymous with tattoo.
With the event, Tribal once again paid homage to one of the oldest and genuine arts of the streets.
