t was the night of nights as distinguished personalities from the diplomatic and business circles recently gathered to celebrate a fine evening of great company at Caruso, the authentic Italian restaurant in Makati. No less than affable Caruso co-owner Dario Gardini welcomed notable guests to the cozy restaurant and graciously treated them to an elegant full-course dinner replete with delectable specialties such as avocado con gamberetti affogati (avocado with shrimps in aurora sauce), garganelli ai funghi porcini e crema di tartufo (home-made pasta with porcini mushroom and truffle cream) and scaloppine di vitello al vino bianco (sliced veal in white wine sauce). Amidst the soothing music and excellent ambiance, everyone had a great time engaging in tête-à-tête while relishing the goodness of Italian cuisine. The affair was graced by newly-arrived Italian Ambassador Luca Fornari and charming wife Silvana, Spanish Ambassador Luis Arias and elegant wife Soledad. Spicing up the evening was the surprise musical performance from RJ Jacinto. Another memorable and well-received dinner indeed! Cheers to Caruso!
