Summer is here and fashion is undergoing a change with quite a number of exciting and refreshing ideas. Time to store those layered, dark-colored and cold weather-inspired pieces for now and jumpstart your wardrobe with the latest, hottest and most wanted. The new season welcomes the warm days with trend forecasts to captivate our style fascination.

Global fashion presents a plethora of up-to-date looks that defines a variety of modern design expositions. Beige, in all its hues, is the new black as it takes your wardrobe into a chic and mod perspective. From sand-tone neutrals, we move on to pale brights. Color is having a day under the sun as sorbet shades bring cool back in cotton candy-like sweetness mixed with skin tones such as nudes and flesh. Fashion today is all about celebrating women. Femininity and romanticism are holding their standout presence in a garden full of delight as florals appear in all shapes and forms. Style is bringing sexy back in lingerie-inspired pieces. The look of innerwear as outerwear is at the front march of a bold and seductive invasion. Femme fatale isn’t all out there though because hints of it have taken a new meaning to power. Fashion isn’t over the military feel, style is reinventing the uniform inspiration in feminine silhouettes, taking a fresh take from the masculine appeal. Feminine chic means getting active in sportswear as well. The resurgence of sportswear as inspiration is taking the big leap in modern sleek forms and redefining the classic. With all these trends at hand, there is an underlying tone that gives reign to a woman’s sexiness and the power that comes with it. 

Spring-Summer ’10 is a clear declaration and celebration of modern sexiness. In an ever-changing landscape that ceases to exist on what’s new, the current collections of international designers, brands and labels are braving frontiers with a more forward approach in aesthetics and design. The statement is all-woman, sexy and most importantly, points to wearable pieces you can keep forever.
