A luncheon to remember
“Life is a pure flame, and we live by an invisible sun within us.” — Sir Thomas Brown
It was an unforgettable gathering of camaraderie and cheers as the indefatigable Alice Briones together with well-loved Minerva Tanseco of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) and financial expert Grace Palma Tiongco recently organized a heartwarming luncheon as a way of showing gratitude and appreciation to your columnist. Held at their favorite destination of choice — Le Souffle in Rockwell, Makati, the festive red-and-white affair had guests enjoying excellent food, great company and fine ambiance. During the fete, dapper gentlemen Frank Adriano and Muebles Italiano’s Noel Gonzales, together with the affable Grace Palma Tiongco, gave heartfelt, personal commentaries about yours truly, eliciting a round of applause from the appreciative audience. It was also a treat to have the ever busy Dr. Elenita Binay joining the celebration. To Alice, Minerva and Grace who pulled all the stops to make this wonderful luncheon possible, thank you so much!
