A most beautiful work of art

Surprising everyone with her latest accomplishment, the ever so talented and stunning Vicky Zubiri recently held her very successful first solo art exhibit dubbed Memories in Watercolor at the Mezzanine Art Gallery of the Peninsula Manila. The exhibit showcased over 40 beautiful paintings inspired by her travels around the world and brilliant studies in Chinese brush works. The show was jam-packed with family led by husband Bukidnon Gov. Joe Zubiri and son Sen. Miguel Zubiri, close friends, art patrons and internationally renowned artists such as maestro Juvenal Sanso and Betsy Westendorp. Proceeds from the sale of her paintings, which were all bought in less than 20 minutes, were donated to San Juan Nepomuceno School of Assumption, Malibay and Missionaries of Charity.

A warm welcome
The Johann Strauss Society of the Philippines (JSSP) led by chairman and Monaco Consul Fortune Ledesma recently welcomed Austrian Ambassador Wilhelm Donko and wife Yan Donko with an intimate, candlelit dinner at Rockwell’s Le Souffle. JSSP president Olga Martel gave an overview of the society’s activities. Great wine, good food and romantic music filled the night. Cheers!
