It was an exhilarating experience of Asian inspirations coming to life as internationally acclaimed Hoseki, the country’s premier designer jewelry salon led by visionary founder Faico and lovely wife Zabeth Co together with award-winning designers Shamaine Ng and Knoi Esmane, held a show-stopping jewelry-cum-fashion show at The Bellevue Hotel’s majestic grand ballroom. Dubbed My Pearls with Mokume Gane, the spectacular show directed by Marex Gaba featured the breathtaking fusion of radiant South Sea pearls and Japan’s age-old art of metallurgy. Stunning models, beautifully dolled up by talented makeup artist Dior Co and exceptional hairstylist Raymond Ko, presented Hoseki’s dazzling Mokume Gane pieces while garbed in exquisite kimonos and getas (Japanese wooden slippers) as well as other Asian-inspired creations by world-class couturiers Wilhelm Chua and Dita Sandico-Ong. Aside from a grand preview of Hoseki’s latest masterpiece, Manila’s members of high society were also treated to the warm hospitality of The Bellevue’s GM Patrick Chan and marketing and communications director Ryan Chan. Everyone admired the hotel’s grand ballroom, which was bedecked with the unique decor of the artistic genius Junjun Ablaza while Bellevue chairman Johnny Chan made sure that the wine, caviar and foie gras were of top quality.
