A fete for a friend
“A man’s growth is seen in the successive choirs of his friends.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Manila’s grand hostess, Mely Hechanova, recently tendered a beautiful and touching birthday dinner for her friend and neighbor, Letty Syquia, also one of Manila’s top hostesses, at the beautifully arranged hall in the Hechanova mansion in Forbes Park. Mely and Paing had just hosted the very successful Paris Fiesta dinner in honor of the Feast of St. Anthony, which was the culmination of the nine-day novena Masses, as well as the daily outreach activities which were designed to allow the different beneficiaries of the parish to be part of the fiesta activities. Chairpersons for these events were Steve Lopez and Letty Syquia. Letty was overwhelmed by the presence of friends and family who came to share the evening with her.
The evening started with a Mass concelebrated by Fathers Joel Sulse and Alvin Paras. It was a memorable evening of friendship and camaraderie which lasted forever.
Happy birthday, Letty!
