Another round of Tabang
The world will remain a beautiful place as long as there are kind souls who are willing to help those who are in need. The Second Tabang Fundraising Golf Tournament at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club recently illustrated this when golfers gathered to support the education of poor but intelligent students in Sorsogon.
“It is because of you that 250 underprivileged children are able to go to school. It is because of your kind generosity that The Divine Healer Learning Center in Barrio Cabid-an, Sorsogon now stands, a completed grade school. It is because of you that we will be having our very first graduation for Grade 6 students this school year. And it is because of your continued help that a high school classroom will soon be underway,” Fr. Gerard Devesa told the participants of the golf tournament.
“Tabang” is a Bicolano word which means “help.”
“I, the children, their families and all the members of the Divine Healing Servants Foundation are most grateful to all those who helped. Thank you. May our good Lord who cannot be outdone in giving keep you always in His loving care,” Fr. Gerard said.
(It only costs P7,000 a year or P584 a month to send a child to the school for one year. For more information please log on to www.healingservants.com or call +63917-5382033)
