Well-known philanthropist and papal awardee Imelda Cojuangco recently celebrated her birthday with an intimate gathering of family and close friends held at the residence of Letty Syquia. The special occasion started with a prayer of thanksgiving celebrated by Fr. Jerome Angulo followed by a bountiful feast shared teeming with friendship and good will. To the passionate patroness of the arts, happy birthday, Meldy!
A portrait of elegance
Bringing the golden era of sophistication and elegance to life, the Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) celebrated its 87 glorious years with its annual fundraising ball titled Portrait of Elegance. Led by CWC 2008 president Chloe Romulo-Periquet and the annual ball committee chairman and National Red Cross governor Baby Bayani-Ortiz, along with her two co-chairpersons Rep. Kim Bernardo-Lokin and Baby De Jesus, the affair was an elegant portrait to remember. That night, distinguished guests and foreign dignitaries garbed in their regal long gowns and sleek tuxedos eagerly danced the night away.
