Mirror, mirror on the wall... who will Dingdong or Piolo pick for the ball?

Okay, there’s actually no ball, not even a fairy godmother included here. But an imminent date with two of show business’ most eligible men is for real. If that is not a fairy tale coming to form, then what is?  

Here’s the deal — if you have healthy, pinkish white skin, you may be the woman for Dingdong Dantes or Piolo Pascual. Truth is, the two of the most sought-after gentlemen in the tinseltown are in search of their respective perfect dates.

Now ladies, it’s really time to face the mirror. If you see your reflection with that pinkish glow, brace yourself for a probable life-changing experience as Dingdong or Piolo waits to sweep you off your feet.

Pond’s, the leading beauty and skincare brand in the country, scored a coup when it recently housed together Dingdong, a GMA Kapuso talent, and Piolo, an ABS-CBN Kapamilya to launch the Pinkish Dream Date at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

With the oh-so-funny and oh-so-witty Sam Oh as the host, Dingdong and Piolo revealed to the press their ultimate dream dates and what these respected stars look for in women alongside that pinkish white skin.

“I want somebody who is not the complete opposite of me, but somebody who will complement who I am and what I have,” Dingdong describes his perfect date, adding that she should be “funny, easy to get along with, bubbly and can be naughty at times.”

For his date, Piolo says: “I want naman someone who can surprise me.”

The playtime questions elicited more guffaws among Sam, the two matinee idols and the audience. (Imagine the ebullient Sam figuratively throwing herself at Dingdong and Piolo, making her “affections” for the two conspicuous via her gab and glib. She’s both a natural and sassy host!)

Dingdong turns out to be a levelheaded lover and prefers sexy over sweet.

Piolo says he prefers his date to be more artistic than intellectual and prefers coffee over tea.     

Both are no-nonsense guys. And if the market research documents I recently stumbled upon were accurate, Dingdong and Piolo are the hottest male endorsers now. Companies, I was told by a friend, are putting one over the other just to get them endorse their products. You see Dingdong and Piolo everywhere — TVCs, print ads, billboards. They are even on mall collaterals! Sometimes, many of my friends even see the two in their dreams!

Dingdong and Piolo made it to the top because both actors are dreamers. They were never cowed by obstacles. Dingdong once told me, “I consciously turn moments of adversity into great opportunities.” As always, he succeeds.   

And if you want to find out more about Dingdong and Piolo, you should stop looking at the mirror and refrain from asking it who will be the fairest of all. Every single woman between 18 and 35 years old who has pinkish white glow has a chance to be the dream date of Dingdong or Piolo.
