Uptown/Downtown gives you eight fashionable reasons to say “I do!”

Izza Gonzales-Agana and Anton “Jan” Garcia are no strangers to the fashion world having been models in the 1990s. They have crossed over from ramp to cutting room and, together with St. Benilde fashion professor John Guarnes, present their latest take on bridal couture.

Izza uses clean lines in her gowns while Jan adds drama through rusching, hand painting and beadwork. John illustrates his concept of the period bride by bringing in elements from the ’30s and ’40s. Izza says, “Nowadays, the modern bride can express herself more freely as our society embraces the beauty of various cultures and periods of time.”
