“The great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.” — Mencius, Book IV
It was a night of fun-filled merriment and laughter as real estate developer and hotelier Gerry Contreras recently celebrated his birthday in style at the luxurious Gercon Plaza. Oriental black and red were the colors of the night as the exclusive gathering had the crème de la crème of Manila’s high society all dressed up. The esteemed businessman’s majestic residence once again inspired awe among the guests, with a stylish black and red motif and exquisite Chinese antiques and impressive Asian décor on display. Gracing the event were former First Lady Imelda Marcos, philanthropist Imelda Cojuangco and Dr. Sol Consing. The intimate affair featured soothing songs, sumptuous cuisine and an impeccable ambience that made the night much more magical.
Happy birthday, Gerry!
A great way to spend National Day
The Central American Honorary Consulates in Manila just recently decided to forego their annual National Day celebration and donate to the International Bazaar Foundation (IBF) instead. The proceeds will fund various charity projects such as the DFA Day Care Center of the IBF chaired by Rosie Lovely Romulo. It was a truly magnificent example of what a national day is really about.
