Non-stop partying at The Palms

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton -
"The mind that is cheerful at present will have no solicitude for the future, and will meet the bitter occurrences of life with a smile." – Horace

Colorful party hats, balloons, fireworks, flowing champagne, a plentiful buffet and ecstatic revelers greeted the New Year at The Palms Country Club, Alabang’s premier club community. The exclusive private enclave for both business and pleasure hosted its biggest New Year’s Party ever, gathering some 700 members who came with their loved ones to greet the Year of the Dog.

Also the first New Year’s celebration for the Club’s new GM Urs Wuthrich, the evening was highlighted with exceptional performances by Backdoor and Fat Session. A wide variety of dishes which included wagyu beef, ebi tempura and other Asian specialties was complemented by fine wines and sparkling champagne. The open-air celebration was blessed with good weather, made even more magical with a balloon-releasing ceremony and an amazing fireworks display. The children’s entertainment held at the Café Asiana was well-appreciated by members and their kids. The Palms truly brings club lifestyle to a new level with exciting events such as these!

Driving for success
BMW Philippines, the name synonymous with success and prestige, recently hosted the fifth Philippine National Finals of the BMW Golf Cup International – one of the national championships held worldwide as part of the biggest amateur golf tournament in the world. The pristine greens and fairways of the Tagaytay Midlands Golf and Country Club was the venue for the exciting event.

Hardworking BMW Philippines president Dr. Joerg Breuer and debonair BMW Philippines corporate communications and marketing director Lito German were on hand to ensure the tournament’s success. At the end of the extremely tight Stableford competition, the winners were revealed: Leslie Limsico for the Class A division, Alex Revilla for Class B and Farah Imperial for the women’s category.

Once again, congratulations to BMW for another successful golf tournament!
Johnny congratulates…
Palafox Associates, the Philippines’ premier architectural, planning and design firm, for recently breaking into the Top 100 mark, ranking 94th overall, in the World Architecture Top 200. The list, published in the January 2006 edition of Building Design World Architecture, included Palafox Associates as the only Southeast Asian architectural firm. Palafox is also the urban planner of the fast-rising fully-integrated community resort South Forbes Golf City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The lovely Debbie Tan-Yu Chan of The Bellevue Hotel receives the Coral Jubilee Honoree Award at the alumni homecoming of St. Paul College. The successful businesswoman, loving wife and nurturing mother has overcome sickness and trials that strengthened and made her the woman of substance that she is today. This true Paulinian lives and teaches those with trials to bear their burdens with ease. She is no doubt guided by the words of her favorite saint, St. Paul, who preaches: "Hope does not disappoint."

Congratulations, Debbie!
Johnny says, ‘Check this out!’
