STAR Dream Girl: Nicolette Henson

-
While some teens her age spend a lot of time partying, 5-ft.-8-in., 17-year-old Helen Nicolette Henson is busy at home, exchanging views with her family on current events. After all, she’s a freshman Mass Communication student at an exclusive girls’ school in Manila. She wants to major in Broadcast Journalism.

This headturner is the daughter of civil engineer and ex-politician Rosve Henson and the late Helenita Maria Mercado. Writing poems and essays is one form of therapy for her. "I also love reflection books and surfing the Net," she adds. Nicolette also loves the adrenaline rush when she plays basketball with her brothers.

Statuesque and svelte with a 33-24-34 figure, Nicolette is embarking on a modeling career and hopes to make it big eventually. Her first stint was joining the Elite Model Look-Philippines competition. "I made instant friends with my fellow contestants and learned a lot from this experience," she adds. The competition also taught her to watch what she eats and to work out as often as possible, though won’t give up her long-standing affair with chocolates.

Dormitory life also taught her life’s most valuable lessons. "For me, the curfew is an advantage because it keeps us secure," says Nicolette who only learned to do chores when she started to live independently. Self-expression is the key when it comes to her fashion taste. "Just be yourself," declares this sexy chick.

A STAR Dream Girl to her is "someone who has a well-rounded personality and perseveres to achieve her dreams." – Jerni May Camposano
