Star Dream Girl : Daniela Laurel

-
"To have better (career) opportunities," says 19-year-old Daniela "Danie" Laurel, "one should have a guided and specific game plan. This way, no time will be wasted."

That’s why this early, Danie, a junior student at Ateneo de Manila University taking up BS Management with minor in Hispanic Studies and International Business, knows what awaits her in the future. "I want to become a foreign service officer or a business woman or even both someday. As entrepreneur, I would like to venture into clothing or restaurant business."

Danie, who adores anything Spanish, believes that by studying management she will hone her decision-making skills and acquire business savvy.

After college, Danie plans to study abroad and finish a master’s degree in International Business or International Relations.

Besides, this daughter of lawyer Jose Jesus Laurel and the former Leah Sibala has appeared on several TV commercials and store advertising campaigns.

In her spare time, Danie makes handicrafts, draws and paints. "I’m more of a leisure painter," says the five-ft. six-inch stunner. "I do this to take a break from school. My life is centered on my studies. My inspiration? I think anything that comes to my mind. I also do this to explore the creative side of me."

Danie, who describes herself as "goal-oriented, well-rounded and hardworking," also loves traveling. She has gone to the States, some parts of Europe, Bali in Indonesia and Malaysia.

"Being successful means finishing the task," concludes Danie. "A successful person is not only a good initiator (of a cause), but a good implementor, too." –Jerry Donato
