June 7, 2004 | 12:00am
Twenty-year-old Eurasian beauty, Carmiezinas "Carmie" Nicolosi is one of the hopefuls of the Bodyshots competition to be held at the Le Pavillion on June 8. Carmie, who is of Filipino, Italian and German descent, is also taking her chance in the local fashion scene.
Standing 56" tall, Carmie wants to try ramp/couture modeling and to appear on commercials, TV or even in the movies. Already, she has received numerous offers.
Back in Germany, Carmie was a dance student at the Kieler-Institut Fur Gymnastik and Tanz, adept in jazz, ballet, salsa and modern dance. She earned her high school diploma at the Realschule Classe.
"Dancing," says Carmie of her passion, "is like my other interest, painting. Through them I feel freedom and a way to express emotions and feelings. I can write down or convey things through them."
"What motivates me to dance? One, when I see people smiling and delighted (after a performance). Second, I like to stay on the stage, and three I like to perform in a show."
Carmie, the daughter of Carmelo Nicolosi, an Italian and the former Zinas Maxilom, a Filipina, helps her parents in their food business.
Camie was Miss Philippines-North Germany in 2001 and also this years Miss Europe Supermodel.
"Everybody here is nice," says Carmie. "Theyre like my father who says Hi to all. No wonder why everybody knows him back in our town."
What makes one successful? Carmie replies, "The person must put her heart in everything she wishes to do." Jerry Donato
