Of soul birthings and abortion

A SPIRITED SOUL - A SPIRITED SOUL BY Jeannie E. Javelosa -
Woman as mother is the vessel for human life to enter our physical world. Within the confines of a mother’s watery womb, God’s fantastic alchemical genius merges matter and spirit for the soul to lay its claim. At birth, a soul’s personality is born into a unique individual with a specific destiny to fulfill: A destiny where both God’s design and free will seek out a partnership.

The traditional understanding that a woman just waits passively for her baby to be born is something that we have to take a close look at today. Very strong spiritual forces and magnetic energies surround our world. When we are in harmony and communion with these energies (some call it spirit, life force, chi, though energy, etc.), we can be an active participant in the entry process of a new soul even before pregnancy.

One premise I present is that all of us enter this world having known and chosen ahead of time, the circumstances of our birth and life. While we are all souls in that other dimension (called Heaven by Christians), we seek out this present life, in all its nuances, with the soul companions we want to be with to learn our earthly lessons. Other souls will be tasked to hurt us deeply. Other will love us well. First choices are our parents, then our siblings of which the greatest lessons are learned from. Then follow our lovers and partners, friends and co-workers. However, at the moment of birth, we go through a veil of forgetfulness and enter this life "sleeping" or unaware… as though a fresh slate on which to write out our life is given to us by God.

For those of you who plan to have a baby, know that the process begins even before you have found a partner. In your mind, prayers and meditations, you can begin to send out thoughts that talk to Heaven–that you wish to attract a specific nature or kind of soul. You can communicate with your baby-to-be. When pregnant, know that the new soul hovers around during those nine months, coming in and out of the physical form you carry under your heart. Bonding begins that early as the baby in your womb is hyper-sensitive to all your experiences. So talk to the unborn child, play music to it, and begin surrounding yourself with love energies.

A good crystal for pregnancy and childbearing is the moonstone. This milkish-white colored stone aids the birthing process and helps the ovaries and womb. After you have cleansed this stone with salt and water, this can be used as a pendant, carried around or held in the hand.

What of those who unexpectantly get pregnant, unplanned? Or those who are victims of rape? I believe that the soul of that baby seeks to enter through that fashion, even if no love is present between the two people. This is because that soul chooses the exact moment of its birth that defines circumstances of a chosen life. Perhaps that life holds the best lesson to evolve faster. Perhaps karma will be paid and balanced with the mom. I have a friend who was a victim of rape, and yet, her child is a beautiful daughter who has been told the truth since she was young, and is being reared with love. Her daughter has no issues about the manner she was conceived. Yes, my friend had great financial difficulties raising her daughter, but this has made her into a wise, strong woman continually seeking growth. They have a wonderful, open and loving relationship with her adolescent daughter today.

How about women who unfortunately have still-born and spontaneous abortions? Here, the soul decides on the last minute that it cannot handle the lesson of that life, and backs off from entering the fetus. Each soul after all has free will. I know of one woman who, knowing she was not ready to be a single mother, bonded so much with the soul of her baby. During her first trimester, she spoke to the soul of her baby of her fears, her inability to be a mother at that point of her life. She had this inner communication very consciously during prayer and meditation. She related to me that for a couple of days, she could feel the soul of her baby saying goodbye, understanding and loving her. Then one day, she started to bleed and have a spontaneous abortion. As she was bleeding, she could almost distinctly hear in her head gentle thoughts of "goodbye."

What about you women in marriages or relationships who are trying so hard to get pregnant? Aside from all the medical and scientific literature available, help the energies by getting a geode crystal and place this inside your home. A geode is a rough, hallow stone that when cut in halves, reveals its interiors with beautiful quartz crystal encrustation. I remember seeing a geode outside my friend Susan’s house. Jay and Susan were a childless couple of many, many years since Susan could not bear a child. I kept telling Susan that I could see (through my inner eye) a child running around her home, but she answered me that she didn’t know how that could be. I suggested to her to have the geode sliced open and put in her bedroom. This she did. A couple of months later, I was the first person she excitedly told that a small baby was given to her in a strange way through adoption. In a couple of days, a little girl entered their home, their life and hearts–and became my godchild.

Moral values stand on shaky ground in the world we are in today. There are many issues–from abortion to euthanasia–that have been debated over time. Abortion is a gray area. For other it is sheer murder of an unborn child. For other women, they say they own their bodies and have the right to choose. Statistics show that many women who have had abortions experience permanent emotional and psycho-spiritual scars that they never get to heal through their whole life. I feel that there is a great number of confessions, therapy and psychoanalysis sessions (often kept hidden) undergone by countless women who have had abortions. My personal point of view is that a woman who has had an abortion has cut the chance of another soul to work out a lesson in this life, therefore, cutting chances of the soul evolving to a higher state towards God. Religion makes a very clear, firm stand on abortion. Thus, it is not just a moral or religious issue (of murder) but a higher, spiritual one. By aborting a fetus consciously, a woman has broken a pact with that soul and denied its entry. Now, an imbalance has happened, a karmic bond of pay-up has been created. Chances are, in the deep recesses of her soul, the woman will undergo a "dark night," or a deep emptiness, suffering or angst that will make itself felt through moments in her lifetime. Chances are, the woman and would-have been baby will surely meet again in another lifetime to work this imbalance out.

This January in the US, after 30 years of legalized abortion, women from coast to coast who have had abortions gathered at state capitals to speak about their experiences. Many of the women shared their stories while others prepared to hold a sign that reads "I regret abortion." This took place just this week in every state, and in Washington, DC. The campaign is called SILENT NO MORE. Its focus is about abortion’s emotional, spiritual and physical consequences. If a great number of women joins this campaign, clearly, their inner beings, their psyches carry scars, guilt and regrets. In their collective presence is their individual healing.

Universal laws stand on the great space of the eternal and infinite. If things happen spontaneously, they are meant to be part of a great plan of God. When free will is invoked, our souls must take responsibility for decisions made–and enjoy or suffer for consequences.
