A joyful birthday bonding

There is nothing quite as heartwarming as welcoming another year in the company of cherished friends, and that was exactly the atmosphere during the pre-birthday party of the gracious Alice Samson at her beautifully appointed home.

Guests were treated to an exceptional spread featuring the famous Elar’s crispy lechon, succulent jumbo prawns, roasted beef and chicken, comforting pasta, an array of fine cheeses, premium nuts, sweet green grapes, fine wine and fruit salad.

Laugher echoed throughout the evening as the radiant celebrant and her close-knit circle danced to the lively music of Rex before gathering for the traditional candle-blowing. Thoughtful parting gifts of fresh oranges and grapes added a lovely finishing touch to a memorable celebration. Above all, the night was a beautiful tribute to the woman of the hour’s kindness, generosity, and enduring friendships.

A meaningful thanks giving

It was an evening of gratitude, music, and heartfelt camaraderie as Cine Silang producer and Paghilom sa Luha ng Buhay lead actor Tony Boy de la Rea marked his 69th birthday with a memorable celebration at Chantara, Dusit Thani Manila, in Makati City.

Hosted by the ever-charismatic Lance Goodman, the well-attended affair featured delightful performances by Lance Raymundo II, Ian Jacinto, Angie Bonnevie and the legendary Rainmakers, whose surprise performance of their timeless OPM hits brought guests to their feet, including Jean Saburit and Paghilom sa Luha ng Buhay star Azenith Briones.

Sharing in the joyous occasion were members of the business, social and entertainment sectors, along with many friends and supporters. More than a birthday celebration, the evening became a moving thanksgiving as the celebrator expressed his deepest gratitude to God, the doctors of St. Luke’s Medical Center who cared for him through nine hospitalizations, and his devoted sisters, Dr. Net de la Rea and Victoria de la Rea-Eurton, whose unwavering love and support made his inspiring journey even more meaningful.
