Art without borders
What a luminous moment it was at Leon Gallery International in Makati City as the “Borderless” exhibition by DF Art Agency, curated with keen insight by Derek Flores, proved a resounding celebration of creativity without confines and brought Manila’s art lovers into a vibrant dialogue on identity, movement, and the cultural threads that stitch our global tapestry together.
From Ron Lopez Davis’s layered emotional landscapes to David Kaufman’s
seamless fusion of Manila and Madrid sensibilities, to Sacha Cotture’s gestural explorations, to Jonidel Mendoza’s atmospheric constructions, and Henri Lamy’s exuberant figurative color, the show’s cosmopolitan chorus captivated audiences and convivial crowds alive, illuminating the transcendent power of art in this ever-connected age.
A fun, fab night
A delightful evening unfolded at the beautifully renovated home in Valle Varde 6, Pasig City of gracious hostess Alice Samson who opened her doors for an intimate and joy-filled dinner. The charming gathering of 30 close friends was filled with warmth, laughter, and lively conversation, made even more special by a sumptuous spread lovingly prepared by Alice’s sister-in-law. Adding to the festive spirit was live music that kept the atmosphere vibrant and celebratory all night long. Indeed, it was a wonderfully curated soirée, equal parts elegant and exuberant, perfectly reflecting the joy of friendship and the art of gracious entertaining.
