A Napa Valley experience in Tagaytay
Tasteful architecture enriched by the beauty of nature and heartwarming service: The charm of Twin Lakes Hotel

In a world where dreams come true, there exists a place that stands as a testament to the splendor of nature's beauty and the indulgence of the senses. This place, nestled high above and overlooking the majestic Taal Lake, is the stuff of wishes.

Imagine lush vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, their rows of grapevines basking in the golden embrace of the sun. Picture wine cellars where time stands still, where each bottle holds the promise of a story yet to be told. Envision dining experiences that transport you to the enchanting realms of Napa Valley and European wineries, where every meal is a celebration of the freshest farm-to-table produce.

Welcome to Twin Lakes Hotel by Megaworld, a place so enchanting it resembles the fairytale landscapes of Disneyland in Hong Kong and the United States. It’s a place where dreams become reality, earning its reputation as the “happiest place on earth.”

On a recent journey to this haven, I had the pleasure of being in the company of my favorite media couple, the illustrious Divine and Buddy Recio. Along with them and our faithful yaya and beloved dogs, we embarked on a pet staycation that proved to be just as enjoyable for us humans.

Travel Trade Gazette Asia’s Filipino correspondent Rosa Ocampo joined us in this fun-filled weekend as well. Pet-friendly paradise Twin Lakes allowed us to enjoy every moment of our time with our furry companions, my Shih Tzus Choco and Felizia, who roamed and reveled in the expansive grounds. Our photographer, Mel Martinez, captured every moment of this extraordinary journey, making it a memory to cherish forever.

As we traversed the winding entrance road, anticipation built with each turn. The majestic lobby had grace and grandeur fit for royalty. General manager Owen Relucio-Samonte, a gracious lady with beauty and brains, looked after us with exceptional care, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Her dedication to our comfort and enjoyment set the tone for our entire experience.

Twin Lakes Hotel features 122 rooms, all with balconies, a heated outdoor infinity pool, a cafe with viewing deck, function halls for your events, and a vineyard.

Marketing and communications manager Micah Regudo also played a pivotal role in making our visit unforgettable. Her warm welcome and insightful recommendations added an extra layer of hospitality to our stay.

Every member of the staff serves with a smile and greets you with their hands placed on their chests, a symbol of the warm Filipino hospitality that permeates the entire place. Our rooms offered not just comfort but a view that would steal anyone’s breath away. The lobby bar and restaurant, a gastronomic oasis, presented a tantalizing array of delights. We feasted on amazing UVA Pizza, hearty soups, and the iconic bulalo. But the culinary adventure didn’t stop there; the menu also featured local treasures like Maliputo fish, and desserts like Baked Alaska and Tablea Chocolate Cake.

But the real treasure lay in the divine spa treatments offered at L’Uva Vineyard Spa, a wellness haven in Twin Lakes Hotel where expert masseuses practice the art of healing.

Hilot, deeply rooted in Filipino culture, takes you on a journey of relaxation and holistic well-being. The techniques employed are not just physical but also spiritual, offering balance and harmony to body and soul.

Balinese massage, with its delicate strokes and aromatic oils, transports you to a state of deep relaxation. The combination of flowing movements and fragrant scents is a sensory experience, and it’s a testament to the diverse and luxurious spa offerings at L’Uva Vineyard Spa.

A historical castle-like wine gallery awaited us and here we dined as the inaugural guests alongside our four-legged companions. A sumptuous feast unfolded before us: salmon, Jamon Serrano, onion soup, and a tablea chocolate cake that tasted like pure magic. Our delightful conversation during the meal turned to amazing films about wines and wineries. Scenes from A Walk in the Clouds, Sideways, and Bottle Shock danced in our heads.

Twin Lakes Hotel has garnered accolades, including the prestigious “Best Hotel Development in Asia” and “Best Hotel Development” at the 2018 PropertyGuru Asia & Philippines Property Awards, TripAdvisor’s Choice award for three consecutive years, and it’s easy to see why. This is a destination where dreams are not just fulfilled but doubled and multiplied.

Here, where clouds caress the majestic volcano, and where the sweet breeze dances as the sun rises and sets over the dramatic horizon, wishes take flight and soar. Twin Lakes Hotel isn’t just a place; it’s an experience.
