Lotus SS23 features special pieces such as ikat-print sun dresses and matching sets made from screen-printed fabrics sourced from India, in addition to a style-savvy lineup of elevated resort wear made in the most comfortable cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. Clothes to get creative with
“Freedom and Escape” is the theme of the newest collection of Criselda, Rustan’s in-house brand of sophisticated women’s wear, built on the legacy and designs of renowned Filipino designer Criselda Lontok.
This summer, the Criselda team was inspired by the intersection between organic nature and modern art: “The world has opened up and our customer is enjoying the feeling of being free again,” they explain. “We wanted our collection to say, ‘Set no limits! Feel alive and free, and create the artistic landscape of your own life!’ There is a lot of mixing and matching going on when it comes to the prints and references we chose to use, from modern shapes to graphic images of flowers.”
Thus, there’s a lively mash-up of foliage and summer gardens inlaid with geometrics, curves, and stripes. Standout pieces include a shirtdress in bold red with voluminous sleeves, color-blocked separates in energizing brights such as orange and deep salmon, a silk matching set in midnight blue with a cascading cape, and an abstract-print maxi dress that can be half-buttoned or closed all the way to play with high-low proportions.
