Promise fulfilled: A super and merry 'super show' from super Junior to Filipino fans
Super Junior gave the best Christmas gift to Filipino fans — also known as ELF (Ever Lasting Friends) — by fulfilling a promise, as they returned to the Philippines with a special version of “Super Show 9.”
Mall of Asia Arena once again lit up with beautiful Sapphire Blue Ocean fanlights as Filipino fans of Super Junior flocked to the venue last Dec. 17 and 18 for the two-night show of the legendary K-pop group.
The tour, titled “Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 9: Road in Manila” is the ninth installment of Super Show following the release of their 11th album, “The Road.”
Last August, they were set to hold the show in Manila; however, it was pushed back to December to give way to one of the members of the group, who had a personal trial at that time. Instead, the group shortly met the fans and promised to return with a more special stage by the end of the year.
When they returned, Super Junior gave explosive, fun, and heart-warming experiences to their Filipino fans. Performing their hits such as Mango, Don’t Wait and Sorry Sorry to name a few, the show is the ideal mix of charisma, soul, and even comedy on the side. The highlight was an exclusive and first-ever live performance of their holiday comeback song Celebrate. This performance is deemed precious because it’s the first time Filipino fans are included in a special music video of Super Junior, which they have released worldwide.
As the show ended, Super Junior said that they are happy to always return to the Philippines for Filipino ELF The group also promised to stay with them no matter what, and they intend to keep this personal oath forever.
“Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 9: Road in Manila” was presented by Philippines’ K-pop live show pioneer, Pulp Live World and Happee Hour.
