Want to elevate your essentials with forever pieces? Or are you keen on nailing an effortlessly fabulous alternative to occassionwear? At Rhett Eala’s new Greenbelt 5 concept store, you can do this — all while loving local.

“There is more to dressing local than tribal or craft details. Wearing local clothes is also not just limited to formal gowns,” says Rhett Eala as he opens his third concept store in Greenbelt 5. “It can be much more sophisticated yet wearable and accessible.”

It’s a perspective that many share with the designer; the success of his stores at the Power Plant Mall and SM Aura are proof. In his new 150-square-meter space in Greenbelt 5’s Fashion Walk, he’s sharing the platform.

“I wanted to share the space with other local designers or labels that present a fresh and distinct take on Filipino design for everyday dressing,” says Rhett as he curates a retail experience with pieces from Jo Ann Bitagcol’s Bitagcol, Tweetie de Leon Gonzales’s TdLG, and Ivarluski Aseron’s ready-to-wear line.

You previously had to be in-the-know to shop Bitagcol and TdLG at select fairs and pop-ups. This is also a rare comeback for Ivar’s RTW line. Bitagcol, TdLG and Ivarluski Aseron are mainstays of the new Rhett Eala design platform and the first in a series of guest designers in the coming months. “It was important that designers showcased in the space share the same brand values, standards in quality,” explains Rhett.

Retail collections will be on display alongside one-off pieces at the Rhett Eala store in Greenbelt 5. “We also wanted to create a full experience of the brands by including showcase pieces,” he adds.
