The Johnny Awards takes on ‘Dynasty’

The countdown to the much-anticipated 4th Johnny Awards has officially begun with a glamorous models’ briefing and meet-and-greet at the Del Rosario Law Centre Penthouse in BGC, Taguig City.
Inspired by the iconic television series Dynasty, this year’s celebration of your columnist’s birthday promises an evening of timeless elegance as event chairman Marissa Fenton, co-chairman Roselle Rebano, and fashion director Raymond Villanueva lead preparations for the grand Awards Night on Aug. 10 at the Grand Hyatt Manila, also in BGC, Taguig City.
Models were introduced to the unforgettable fashion trends that defined the 1980s — from bold shoulder pads and voluminous hairstyles to sophisticated power dressing — as they prepare to bring the beloved Dynasty characters to life on the runway. Aptly capturing the spirit of the event, the Johnny Awards continues to prove that it is, indeed, “not just a chapter, but a legacy.”
A Charming par- tea for Hera
A pleasant afternoon of elegance, friendship, and heartfelt laughter marked the birthday celebration of lovely Hera Geriene, who hosted a charming “par-tea” at Chef Jessie Rockwell Club restaurant in Makati City.
Guests embraced the delightful theme in sophisticated solid-colored ensembles adorned with beautiful fascinators, hats, crowns and headbands, transforming the gathering into a picture-perfect English tea party.
Over fragrant tea and delectable treats, everyone shared joyful conversations, fond memories, and endless laughter, making the occasion all the more meaningful. It was a truly memorable celebration of grace, warmth and enduring friendship.
