Jelai Andres reveals marriage to Jon Gutierrez now annulled
MANILA, Philippines — Social media personality Jelai Andres is happy that her marriage to rapper Jon Gutierrez has been annulled.
Jelai considers her annulment from Jon, which she has been waiting to be finalized for years, as a new chapter in her life.
In her new vlog, Jelai showed the emotional moment when she broke the news to her family and close friends.
The video showed Jelai's close friends celebrating about it when they learned that she was finally legally single again.
“Kung alam niyo lang kung gaano niya katagal hinintay ‘to. Siyempre ima-manifest natin ‘yung kasal na pang-habangbuhay. Hindi ‘yung prank relationship. Tama na tayo sa prank relationship, doon na tayo sa seryoso,” Zeinab Harake said.
In one part of the video, Jelai explained why she chose to be single after her separation from her ex-husband.
She said she focused more on her healing journey than on her love life and relationships.
“Pwede naman akong mag-jowa. Pero ako sa sarili ko, kumpleto kasi ako kahit wala siya. Hindi ko siya hinanap. After noon, naging masaya ako. Super saya ko,” Jelai said.
“After ng napag-daanan ko, parang super saya ko. Kumpleto ako. Super mahal ko 'yung sarili ko. Alam ko naman na healed na ako, pero ito ‘yung pinaka-end,” she added.
Another celebrity friend who is happy with her annulment is actress and vlogger Donnalyn Bartolome, who witnessed the "darkest moments of her marriage."
“I’m so happy for you. Thank you, Lord,” Donnalyn said.
