Local tech firm expands with new 3D printing hub

MANILA, Philippines — A 3D printing experience hub will open at Ayala Malls Manila Bay on June 12, offering visitors a closer look at how additive manufacturing is being used across industries such as healthcare, engineering, education and design.
The hub is being launched by Makerlab, a Philippine-based 3D printing company, as part of its 10th anniversary activities.
The event will feature three areas across the mall: an activity center on the ground floor with product demonstrations, talks, and 3D-printed products; an experience hub on the second floor showcasing applications of 3D printing technology; and a sales hub on the fourth floor offering product consultations and promotions on 3D printing equipment.
“At Makerlab, our vision has always been to make 3D printing accessible, relevant, and transformative for everyday life,” said Mike Sy, CEO of Makerlab.
“As we celebrate our 10th year, this experience hub represents a major step forward—not just for our company, but for how Filipinos can engage with technology. We want people to see that 3D printing is no longer the future — it’s already here, and it’s something they can use for work, learning, creativity, and even at home.”
Founded in 2015, Makerlab supplies 3D printing products and services to clients in sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, education, and creative industries.
The event aims to introduce visitors to the potential uses of 3D printing technology across different fields and applications.
