Discovering a whole new Galaxy
MANILA, Philippines - Samsung Philippines unveiled their latest and best smartphone yet, the Galaxy S III. There have been a lot of talk about this brand-new phone and it seems to have a lot of promise for today’s technology-driven consumer.
Powered by Google’s Android OS, the Samsung Galaxy S III still has the customizable features consumers wants. Compared to other operating systems that limit consumers, Android lets you customize how you want to use your phone. Samsung actually takes a bigger step since they are saying that the Galaxy S III is “Designed for Humans.” What features does this new smartphone offer? There are actually quite a number. Here are the ones that stand-out.
S Beam Imagine sending huge files via a mobile phone that takes a long time. With the S Beam feature, the long period of time is all in the past. Simply put the Galaxy S IIIs back-to-back and the files will be delivered in seconds. The connection is made via short-range near-field communication (NFC) and the files are delivered over Wi-Fi Direct. The only con is that both phones have to be a Samsung Galaxy S III. But it’s still a fantastic technological feat.
Smart Stay before going to bed, people usually use their phones whether reading tweets, watching videos, or checking out the latest news. But at times, people just fall asleep while using the phone. The Smart Stay function knows when you fall asleep and when that happens, it will turn off. It is probably one of the coolest functions of the Galaxy S III.
Direct Call You won’t have to press the green button anymore to call a friend. The Samsung Galaxy S III knows when you want to talk. If you’re messaging and want to call instead, simply lift your phone to your ear and it will dial your friend automatically. It’s that simple.
Pop Up Play Filipinos love watching videos and many already watch it with the use of a phone. But when one gets an email or a text message, the video has to be paused. Pop Up Play lets you multitask. A user can watch a video and email at the same time. Simply double tap a video and one can do anything. The video screen can even be moved around within the screen.
Burst Shot Jump shots anyone? An SLR would be needed for those fun jump shots but because of the new Burst Shot feature of the Galaxy S III, those high speed shots can be done with a mobile phone. The camera of the Galaxy S III can take up to eight shots and it also chooses the best photo. Never miss a great shot again.
