Bobby takes a bride

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
It all began with a simple blind date, dahlings. Then apres five years, tall and handsome Bobby Villanueva realized that striking beauty Rosalie de Ubago was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and who he wanted to be the mother of his–moi am sure they will be!–gorgeous children.

Bobby is the son of business magnate Bert Villanueva Jr. and adorably vivacious Southern socialite Lucille Raymond-Villanueva. He exchanged "I do’s" with Rosalie, the daughter of simpatico Chiqui de Ubago and popular society lady Nancy Palou-de Ubago, a romantic full moon ago. The garden was lit up with Capiz balls and miniature lights while the swimming pools were filled with red rose petals. Antonio Garcia of Mabolo did the flower arrangements.

The Peninsula Quartet provided romantic sounds during cocktails. The excellently prepared buffet dinner which was beyond compare, palanggas, was done by Margarita Fores, no less, who truly outdid herself!

Bobby and Rosalie insisted that only close relatives and famille friends plus tons of their own gang would attend the wedding. Well, palanggas, they got their wish–their pals from London, Guam, the US, and Spain who all jetted in to share their Big Day.

The beautiful alta sociedad pack breezing around the cool garden included glamorous Imelda Cojuangco; dashing Lito and head turner Kim Camacho; fun Maya and Marlene Krishnan; well-loved taipan Washington Sycip; Beth Day Romulo; young guards of society, good-looker Bobby and pretty as a picture Jojo Laurel; dynamic Vivian Yuchengco; one-of-a-kind sparkling persona Menchu Katigbak; respected couple Marilen and O.V. Best man Caloy initiated the speeches and toast during dessert. "To Bobby and Rosalie," he said, "may your love for each other be modern enough to survive the times, and old-fashioned enough to last forever." This elicited tons of applause and laughter from Cosmo Manille’s chi-chi guests.

The fantastic fun reception lasted till 3:30 a.m. A couple of days later, the lovebirds flew the coup and jetted off to Sydney, Australia for a romantic honeymoon. They will also settle down in Sydney.

To the beautiful newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Villanueva, all the best! Cheers, palanggas.

The Villanueva-De Ubago wedding was definitely a wedding where it was a pleasure and an honor to have been invited to.
