Christmas tree lighting in Tagaytay and Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Last Nov. 21, Taal Vista Hotel celebrated the beginning of the holiday season with their annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. The event was attended by approximately 200 guests from media, corporate partners and clients, regular guests and affiliates of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC).
The spectacular Christmas tree was lit up by Elizabeth Sy, SMHCC president, and James Bevans, general manager of Taal Vista Hotel. Children from the Augustinian Sisters Servants of Jesus and Mary received an advance Yuletide treat from the hotel. The celebration was packed with musical performances by Bughaw Folkloric Dance Group, De La Salle University Dasmariñas Chorale, Suy Galvez and Daryl Ong under the direction of Nestor Jardin.
Towards the end of the program, SMHCC VP-marketing Neil Rumbaoa announced the launch of Taal Vista Hotel and Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles partnership.
Present at the toast were SMHCC president Elizabeth Sy, SMHCC SVP-operations Peggy Angeles, TVH general manager James Bevans, PAL VP-ancillary business Kevin Hartigan-Go, PAL AVP-loyalty program Marietta Casanova, and PAL manager for business development Helena Tchoi-Respicio. As an added treat, PAL raffled off 20,000 miles to one of the guests, Ed Rodil of Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company.
