The Soroptimist International of the Americas Philippines Region (SIAPR) marked a glittering milestone as it celebrated its Diamond Jubilee during its 30th Biennial Conference, held at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila in Mandaluyong City, with the inspiring theme, “60 Years of Transforming Lives.” The celebration featured a memorable Gala Night and Benefactors Fashion Show.

Masterfully chaired by Ma. Remedios “Baby” de Leon, the event paid tribute to the organization’s remarkable legacy through an elegant display of timeless fashion and heartfelt philanthropy.

Adding to the significance of the occasion was the election of Dr. Mildred “Mitzi” Flores Piad as governor-elect for Biennium 2026–2028, ushering in an exciting new chapter of leadership dedicated to empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, and community service. The conference likewise honored immediate past governor Marivic D.S. Paras and warmly welcomed incoming governor Adelina Royo, reaffirming SIAPR’s enduring commitment to transforming lives and strengthening communities for generations to come.

Ajoyful afternoon of friendship, gratitude, and celebration unfolded at the Savannah Moon Ballroom in Quezon City as Dr. Nona Ricafort, Terry Tambunting, Helen Prado, Florence Defensor, Arlene Jacobo, and Baby de Jesus celebrated their birthdays in grand style. The festive affair, graced by special guest former president and former Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Fr. Larry Tan, whose inspiring message reminded everyone to always give their best and make time to do good for others. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a sumptuous merienda cena prepared by Savannah Moon, complemented by special dishes from Dr. Nona and a delectable crispy lechon generously donated by former Pasay City Rep. Connie Dy.

Filled with laughter, vibrant energy, and heartfelt camaraderie, the memorable celebration was a fitting tribute to life’s blessings and the enduring bonds of friendship.
