Joj Agpangan overcomes 60-hour labor to welcome 1st baby
MANILA, Philippines — Former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Joj Agpangan has welcomed her first child with husband Danny Fries, sharing the emotional milestone with her followers on social media.
Joj announced the arrival of their baby boy on Instagram on August 24, posting a series of photos showing her and Danny lovingly cradling their newborn and celebrating their first moments as parents.
“The sweetest chapter begins now. Welcome home, our sweet boy,” she wrote.
The couple named their son John Evan Fries. While they did not reveal his exact date of birth, Joj confirmed that she gave birth in July.
“Thank You God for everything,” she added.
In her Instagram Stories, Joj shared more details about her experience in the hospital, revealing that she underwent more than 60 hours of labor before finally meeting her son.
“Got induced early. Two and a half days of labor. Over 60 hours that pushed me further physically, mentally, and emotionally than I ever knew I could go,” she shared.
Despite the exhaustion and difficulty, Joj said she drew strength from her faith throughout the ordeal.
“It was raw, exhausting, and pure surrender but God gave me the strength for every single hour,” she added.
After giving birth, Joj reflected on how motherhood has transformed her emotionally.
“Motherhood has cracked my heart wide open in the best way possible. Forever grateful to God for this gift,” she wrote.
Joj also credited Danny for being by her side throughout the difficult labor, describing her husband as her “absolute rock.”
“You held my hand through the hardest hours and never let me feel alone in it. Truly couldn't have crossed the finish line without you. I'm just so grateful to do this life with you,” she wrote alongside a photo of them together.
Joj and Danny announced that they were expecting their first child in late March through a vlog.
The couple got married in September 2025 and are now embarking on a new chapter as first-time parents.
