A golden celebration of love and lifelong partnership

Meycauayan Mayor Henry Resurreccion Villarica and Rep. Linabelle Ruth Ramos Villarica marked a remarkable milestone as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Bonifacio Global City.
Surrounded by family and close friends, the couple — campus sweethearts whose love story has endured for five decades — reaffirmed their commitment in a ceremony that reflected both faith and gratitude.
The celebration continued with a grand reception at Shangri-La The Fort, where loved ones gathered for an evening of elegant dining, heartfelt tributes and memorable performances honoring the couple’s enduring partnership.
Under the direction of Nick Lizaso, the evening’s highlight was a 30-minute theatrical production that brought the Villaricas’ love story to life. Real-life couple and stage luminaries Isay Alvarez-Seña and Robert Seña, together with Rissey Reyes Robinson and Vic Robinson, portrayed the older and younger Henry and Linabelle, respectively. Their authentic chemistry added warmth and sincerity to the musical retelling of the couple’s journey from university sweethearts to devoted partners in family life and public service.
Penned by Adriana Agcaoili and narrated by Issa Litton, the production featured live musical accompaniment by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of maestro Rodel Colmenar, with graceful dance performances by the Mari Dance Theater Company. The presentation revisited the romance that blossomed on the University of the Philippines campus, set against beloved melodies from the late 1960s and 1970s, while celebrating a love strengthened by family, faith, and dedicated service to Meycauayan City and Bulacan’s 4th District.
Adding a personal touch to the evening, the Villaricas’ daughter, Atty. Hailey Villarica-Ong, delighted guests with a lively boogie performance that reflected her mother’s passion for the performing arts. She was joined by her siblings, Lester, Harvey and Lerwyn, who shared touching memories of growing up under the guidance of their parents. The next generation also took center stage as grandchildren Luki, Veni and Helina showcased an energetic hip-hop number alongside their parents, while eldest granddaughter Hope captivated the audience with a heartfelt musical performance worthy of her name.
Guests were treated to Shangri-La The Fort’s exceptional culinary offerings, complemented by live orchestral music and an impressive dessert spread that provided a sweet finale to an unforgettable celebration.
The Villaricas’ golden anniversary was more than a celebration of 50 years of marriage — it was a tribute to a partnership built on enduring love, unwavering faith, strong family values, and a shared commitment to public service, inspiring not only their loved ones but also the community they have faithfully served through the years.
