P-pop groups Hori7on and 1st.One are among the acts taking the stage of SEAPop happening on Saturday, July 18, at SM Manila.

Thai star James Prescott and Cambodia artist G-Devith are also performers in the music and culture carvan, which is part of the series of events held during Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino.

The celebration of the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino is organized by the National Comission for Culture and the Arts pursuant to Proclamation No. 933, s. 2014, which designates the last week of July each year as Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino.

Hanbok exhibit

The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) opened “Hanbok, Reborn as Art,” a contemporary art exhibition celebrating the enduring beauty of Korea’s traditional clothing, on July 10 at the KCC in Taguig City.

Organized under Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and presented in partnership with the Savina Museum of Contemporary Art, the exhibition will be open to the public free of charge until September 26.

It features the work of 18 contemporary Korean artists who reinterpret the Hanbok through painting, sculpture, installation, and video. Visitors can also look forward to an interactive kit, where they can create and bring home their own mini-Hanbok, as well as a Hanbok experience corner where they may try on a traditional Hanbok every Friday starting July 24.

Coffee extravaganza

The 8th edition of the Manila Coffee Festival runs from July 17 to 19 at Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 of SM Megamall.

The three-day festival showcases Filipino craftsmanship alongside the Coffee Expo Manila and the Biyaya Sustainable Living Festival.
