Rabiya Mateo officially enrolls in UST medical school
MANILA, Philippines — Beauty queen Rabiya Mateo is officially going back to school to pursue her medical dream.
In her Instagram (IG) story, Rabiya shared that she has enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
Rabiya's photo and UST Student ID can be seen on her IG story.
The host-beauty queen was very vocal about her dream of becoming a doctor.
Before Rabiya entered the world of pageantry, she graduated cum laude from the Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy course at the Iloilo Doctors' College in 2018.
Her dream of getting into medical school got even more intense when she revealed earlier this year that she got a score of 741 in the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT), a required exam for admission to medical schools in the Philippines.
Rabiya has been sharing her dream of pursuing a career in medicine for a long time. It was her desire to serve the communities that inspired the young woman to take the path to becoming a doctor.
