Ashley Rivera mourns death of mother due to cancer
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ashley Rivera mourned the passing of her mom who lost her battle against cancer.
In her Instagram story, Ashley posted a photo of her mom saying, "No more pain, Ma."
“May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. I miss you so much. I love you forever,” she added.
She also posted another photo on her IG Story where she can be seen holding her mother's hand.
“I’m gonna miss holding your hand, Ma,” she said.
Last April, Ashley shared her mother's battle with cancer.
“Our dear mama bear is doing fine. She’s still fighting and we’re celebrating our small wins every single day!" Ashley said in her post.
“Almost three weeks na kaming nasa hospital. Highs and lows talaga na iniisip ko, ‘Oh my gosh, hanggang kailan na lang ba ‘to?’ or ‘yung mawawalan ka ng hope,” Ashley told Kara David in her "I-Listen" podcast.
“Kasi, ang payat niya na tapos hirap na hirap na siya. Tapos alam ko na hindi ko dapat pinapakita na umiiyak ako. Kasi siya mismo, nawawalan ng pag-asa kapag nakikita niyang lahat kami na malungkot,” she added.
