Today’s women are becoming more fashion conscious even when playing their favorite sport. Good thing designers have taken sportswear to a whole new level. Comfort and sex appeal now go hand in hand. You can still look feminine, sexy and give off attitude while engaging in sports activities. With the collaboration of Stella McCartney and Adidas’ third sport performance design collection, women have more to look forward to when buying outfits for working out. Their fresh new look consists of bright colors and toned down pastels, best for summer. Many of their pieces also include a reflector heart that you’ll just love. Check out what these up and coming models favorite sports are and what they wear when sweating it out – and still look completely fabulous!
Cat Juan, 25
Must-haves (From top): Murad sunblock and moisturizer • Phytoplage beach spray • Zips • Zip traning set

When Cat is not busy with her photo shoots for magazines, she takes a break by zipping. For those ignorant about zips, this is the neon-colored toy, you would most often see people playing with at the beach or at the park. She confesses being an addict to this sport because of the hand-eye coordination and muscle control it requires. Guys just love watching girls do zips because of the graceful movements required of this sport, as it was originally a dance in New Zealand to attract partners. She expresses her love for this sport by performing with a regular group and sharing her moves with those want to learn how to do it. Aside from zips, she keeps fit doing yoga or Pilates, and kayaking when out of town. Beauty and brained-chick Cat (magna cum laude) makes it a point to leave the city when she’s not busy posing for the camera or writing about the latest trends for lifestyle magazines.
Karen Pamintuan, 19
Must-haves (From top): Murad vitamin C products • Visor • Water bottle • Hasma shoes

Karen spends her mornings going to the gym and riding horses at the Polo Club. She claims horses have been her passion since she was four, making her the equestrienne she is now. Compared to other more leisurely sports, show jumping could be stressful and requires a lot of discipline and devotion for one to be good at. She feels, however, that nothing compares to the fulfillment and happiness after riding and her wonderful relationship with her horse Flady makes it all the more worthwhile. She currently trains under Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski and hopes to compete in the international scene like her coach. Karen is no stranger to international competitions since she used to compete in Beijing and Shanghai when she was part of her school’s basketball varsity team. The competitive nature of this pretty young lady is not obvious at all, as she is very down-to-earth and friendly in spite of all her achievements, some of which include her winning the Miss Seventeen Model of the Year. We just wish her good luck when she starts competing for the Southeast Asian Games hopefully in the near future.
Drinie Aguilar, 25
Must-haves (From top): Murad lip therapy and moisturizer • Havaianas • Sunblock • Towels

Drinie has been exposed to the surf culture and just loves the laid-back life at the beach. She started doing boogie boarding in Hawaii when she was in sixth grade and would surf regularly when she was living in Australia. Her almost four-year stay in Sydney opened up her adventurous side and would made her to go skydiving, kayaking and run 21 km. marathons. Now that she is back in Manila, she makes it a point to go to La Union once in a while to catch some waves. When not anywhere near the water, she finds interest in other activities such as yoga, capoeira, golf and dancing. Her passion, discipline and knowledge in various sports make her the perfect sportscaster for Solar Sports which she loves doing. Aside from her regular show, you might find her familiar because of the several advertisements she has done. With her drive and ambition, not to mention her pretty smile, this beach babe (and former STAR Dream Girl) will soon be making waves in both the broadcasting and modeling industry.
Olive Francisco, 27
Must-haves (From top): Murad youth builder supplement and sunscreen * Barrettes • Lipgloss • Gym bag

Olive claims she is a sportaholic but from the looks of it, she is a ballet dancer by heart. She owes this to her aunt Leonor Orosa-Goquingco, who is a National Artist for Dance. Her love for dancing grew later on into figure skating and jazz, then belly dancing. She likes to express herself through movement and likes trotting like a dancer, in her leotards and barrettes. She has interests, too, in other less feminine sports like surfing, swimming, tennis and hopes to finish a triathlon soon! When not busy with with her sport activities, she could be found in her clinic in Makati, as she is a dentist by profession. Aside from her teeth, one of her assets is her skin. She has done photo shoots for several fashion magazines.
