Rachel Alejandro back in Manila for good
MANILA, Philippines - Rachel Alejandro has returned home fully convinced that this is where she belongs.
Since singer, actress and entrepreneur married journalist Carlos Sta. Maria a few years ago, they have flitted from one country to the next eventually settling in New York for a year. Rachel was set to establish herself in the Big Apple by getting an agent and attending auditions while managing her businesses in Manila from there — at least that was the plan.
But like many Pinoy migrants, Rachel’s heart never left home. “I found myself more excited about keeping tabs on my family and friends in Manila, missing them all and missing what I have been doing here. And the fact that I have also been keeping abreast with diet food and event catering business, The Sexy Chef in Manila from there is also another story,†she confessed.
As fate would have it, Rachel is back in Manila and she is doing it with a bang! The prospects are so bright. She writes a blog on Rappler.com and gets a kick out of the by-the-minute interaction, very encouraging for her as a neophyte-writer from the website’s readers.
While this is going on, The Sexy Chef is in full swing. Now co-owned with her mother and sister, chefs Myrna Demauro and Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck, The Sexy Chef has gratified Rachel with how it helps people lose weight and keep it down, including those of her celebrity friends. Apparently, the stars have little time to prepare healthy meals themselves so they turn to Rachel whenever they need to slim down for, say, a photo shoot or a special event, or simply for fitness’ sake.
Some of The Sexy Chef’s most high-profile clients recently are singers Martin Nievera (25-lbs. lighter in just a few weeks!) and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, model-actress Ruffa Gutierrez and even the ever-sexy news anchor Gretchen Fullido, who simply likes how Sexy Chef food tastes — especially the guilt-free desserts — as does everyone.
Apparently, this is the best time to try out The Sexy Chef since they had recently expanded to offering 12 different diet programs. Two of the most in-demand these days are the Cohen Diet which Ruffa specifically requested for The Sexy Diet to make; and the Anti-Plateau Diet which Fitness Nutritionist Nadine Tengco prescribes to those receiving sculpting treatments from Sexy Solutions by Belo, and the very one that Regine is on after losing 25-lbs. from the South Beach Diet in preparation for her movie with Aga Muhlach and her upcoming 25th anniversary concert.
If the success stories of these stars aren’t enough to make Doubting Thomases want to give The Sexy Chef a try, then consider this: The Sexy Chef is having a Gift of Health Sale until Dec. 15 during which the diet programs will be at 20-percent off. Once a singer, always a singer. The Sexy Chef may be blooming in so many levels, but Rachel still has time for her first love, singing. Last Nov. 9, the artist behind the OPM classics Kay Tagal, Mr. Kupido, Paalam Na and Bulag Sa Katotohanan was one of the special guests in Dingdong Avanzado’s 25th-anniversary concert 3.25, Tatlong Beinte Singko at the Music Museum.
“My life in so many ways has come full circle and yet I know there are more adventures to come,†she enthused.
