MANILA, Philippines – Naniniwala ang Philippine Aquatics Inc. (PAI) sa kakayahan ng kanilang mga pambato na sasabak sa tatlong prestihiyosong international tournaments ngayong taon.

Lalahok ang mga national tankers sa World Aquatics Swimming World Cup, 46th Southeast Asia Age Group Championships at 11th Asian Open Water Swimming Championships.

“I hope they sustain their momentum. But I should warn them, the road to greatness has just started for them,” ani PAI secretary general at Batangas 1st District Rep. Eric Buhain sa mga nagwagi sa idinaos nilang National Trials.

Idinagdag ng dating Olympic swimmer at Philippine Sports Hall-of-Famer na nagkakaisa ang liderato ng PAI sa programa na mahasa at maihanda ng maaga ang mga batang atleta upang makapagtala ng sapat na world rank points para magkuwalipika sa 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

“In the next Olympics, our swimmers will join as medal potentials and not just as token participants,” wika ni Buhain.

Sina 2022 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Chloe Isleta at Xiandi Chua ang mangunguna sa women’s team sa World Cup Series (short course) kasama sina Fil-Am Cristina Miranda Renner at World Junior Championship semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh.

Babandera sina Joshua Gabriel Ang at Miguel Barreto sa men’s team sa Cup Series sa Oktubre 18-20 (Series 1) sa Shanghai, China; (Series 2) sa Oktubre 24-26 sa Incheon, South Korea; (Series 3) sa Oktubre 31 hanggang Nobyembre 2 sa Singapore at sa Cup Championships sa Disyembre 10-15 sa Budapest, Hungary.

Kasama rin sa men’s squad sina Fil-Am Kyle Gerard Valdez, Rian Marco Tirol, Metin Junior Mahmutoglu, Rafael Barreto, Jerard Dominic Jacinto, Nathan Jao, Lucio Cuyong II, Raymund Paloma, Albert Jose Amaro II at Fil-Canadian Robin Christopher Domingo.

Sinabi ni Buhain na sasagutin ng PAI ang lahat ng gastusin sa paglahok kabilang ang mga uniporme, plane tickets at allowances ng mga swimmers.

“I promise these rookies, the PAI will take good care of you. However, they must promise back to train harder and deliver as we continue our dreams of Olympic medals,” ani Buhain.
