Hindi magiging ‘final eliminator’ ang Pacquiao-Morales fight

Pinanindigan kahapon ni Top Rank Promotions president Bob Arum ang nauna niyang pahayag na hindi niya hahayaan ang World Boxing Council (WBC) na gawing isang final eliminator ang "Grand Finale" nina Filipino Manny Pacquiao at Mexican Erik Morales sa Nobyembre 18 sa Thomas & Mack Center sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ito ang nilinaw ni Shelly Finkel, tumatayong ma-nager ng 27-anyos na si Pacquiao mula na rin sa pahayag ni Arum.

"Manny’s WBC International championship will be the one that is on the line," wika ni Finkel sa suot na international super featherweight title ni Pacquiao. "This is not an eliminator. Bob and I spoke about that and we both feel the same way, that it is just the same as it was for the last fight."

Matatandaang sa 44th WBC Convention sa Croatia, idineklara ng naturang boxing organization na isang final eliminator ang upakang Pacquiao-Morales para sa maghahamon kay WBC super featherweight champion Marco Antonio Barrera.

Sinabi ni Arum na hindi niya papayagang mangyari ito para lamang makakuha ang WBC ng sanction fees sa kanya.

"I found out the first time today that the WBC wanted to call this an elimination fight so as to get a sanction fee," ani Arum sa WBC. "And the last fight we allowed them to it WBC International where the total sanction fees where US$5,000, and that’s fine, but they have nothing to do with this fight, nobody wants this fight as an elimination, neither fighter, and certainly I’m the damn promoter."
