Cardinal Sin nagbigay ng suporta sa Asian Games

Isang malaking hakbang ang ginawa ng Catholic Church nang magbigay ng buong suporta para sa national athletes na tutungong 14th Asian Games sa Busan, South Korea sa September 29-October 14.

At sa mensaheng ipinadala kay Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Eric Buhain, sinabi ng Archbishop of Manila na si Jaime Cardinal Sin na "We join the entire Filipino nation in praying for our contingent who will be participating in the Asian Games."

"Let us display to the whole world not only our athletic excellence but also our camaraderie and honestly in sports," pahayag ni Cardinal Sin."Let the Philippine Team show forth the best of every Filipino. Your commitment and diligence amaze us. Your unity and discipline inspire us."

Pinasalamatan naman ni Chairman Buhain, na isa ring dating national swimming star si Cardinal Sin. "This is an extremely inspiring gesture from the church and we are grateful to His Eminence for their support and prayers for our athletes who will do battle for flag and country."
