Bea Alonzo now freely shuttles between Madrid and Manila

MANILA, Philippines — After investing in a property in Madrid, Spain back in 2022, Bea Alonzo can now easily shuttle between Madrid and Manila. In 2023, she brought her family to Spain and Andorra, where they spent a white Christmas for the first time.
Last October, Bea went to Spain alone for a brief vacation. She was given a permanent resident privilege in the country, although she does not plan to obtain Spanish citizenship.
“I love it when I’m travelling alone,” Bea said. “I like doing it. I went to Madrid by myself. I’m now a resident of Madrid, so when I’m there, I feel like a local. I got to enjoy the cold weather. Madrid is like my happy place.”
Bea is happy at this point in her life, where she is presently in a new and different relationship with a non-showbiz guy. “I don’t know if it comes with age or experiences or the people you surround yourself with,” Bea said.
She celebrated her 38th birthday here last Oct. 17 before she flew to Madrid.
Although she does not have a project to get busy with at the moment, she is definitely waiting for the right one. “You know the stars have their itch,” she said. “We are waiting for the right project. When I see the right one, I will get out of my shell to do something.”
She does not have any definite plans for herself for next year, nor is she expecting anything for the holidays.
“I’m happy with what I have right now,” Bea said. “Whatever I receive that comes from the heart, I’ll be happy with that.”
Meanwhile, her 2025 allowed her to do more “self-discovery” and “kindness” in letting herself find and discover the right things to make her happy.
“I hope I get to travel again with my family,” said Bea. “In 2023, we made that happen for the first time when we went to Spain and Andorra.”
Even if she is now with a partner, Bea insisted her lifestyle does not depend on him (businessman Vince Co).
“I live on my own terms,” she shared. “I really don’t want to talk about love life. I can only speak for myself.
“I worked so hard to get the kind of life I enjoy right now, even mentally. For me to find somebody to enter in your life, we need to complement each other. Lifestyle-wise, I’m more calm and quiet. That complements my life.”
Bea recently joined the NuStar family as an endorser of the hotel-resort’s “premier luxury lifestyle gaming and entertainment platform” NuStar Online. She was officially introduced at the “Stars Have Arrived Online” event with fellow actress Andrea Brillantes.
“This is only the beginning. The platform we officially unveil tonight is just the first chapter of a grander story built on exclusive rewards, transformative collaborations and innovation that will continue to shape the future of how Filipinos connect, play and live,” said NuStar Online director of public relations Krizia Cortez during the launch.
“For me, it feels great,” said Bea of her new project. “NuStar is celebrating and creating creativity on a big stage. We all know that Filipinos are very talented. Now we get to show the world what we can do in our own way and do it really well.”
Bea is thankful that her partnership with NuStar turned out to be successful. “It’s really how they care about what they do,” said Bea. “For me, that’s the most important thing, how they take care of their integrity, responsibility and respect for the audience.
“I think it’s also very good that we are now given options. At the end of the day, it’s still entertainment that has to be enjoyed with much safety, restraint and moderation.”
When Bea was first offered the project, she already felt that the hotel and casino resort already knew what they were doing, particularly “what the market needs.”
“They know that what they are offering is premium and elevated, but also relatable. It’s done with taste and class, with care and thought. So I think that’s great,” she said.
Bea has been in show business for nearly 25 years. “I’ve always been on the go,” she said. “I’ve always been running after something. Maybe my dreams. But I always forget to keep the balance. To have that time for myself. To shut down the noise.
“Now, I get to do it. I get to feel the balance. I didn’t know how important it was, to just live my life on my own.”
Andrea, meanwhile, insisted that what they are offering is authentic. “Before you enter the site, you will see an important notice for responsible gaming,” she pointed out. “For 21 and above, you are reminded not to play in public places and they remind you that playing can be addicting, so you have to know when to stop.
“So you are always reminded that you can have fun, enjoy in moderation, control and just be mindful of reminders. NuStar will also donate to my choice of charity. For both Bea and I. So we need to promote something responsible for anyone to enjoy.“
Andrea quipped that her recent winning moment is “10 hours of sleep.”
“Seriously, my winning moment is when my heart is genuinely happy,” she added.
“It’s not always about the big things. Sometimes, the small wins matter, too. Protecting my peace is also important.”
