MANILA, Philippines — Actress Claudine Barretto is showing support for her niece Julia Barretto following confirmation the latter broke up with fellow actor Gerald Anderson.

Talent agencies Star Magic and Viva Artists Agency both released statements confirming the split, with Claudine reposting the latter in an Instagram story.

"ALL IS WELL. I'm right here. We all are. Your strength amazes me, Julia," Claudine wrote, tagging Julia's handle.

Claudine also shared the Viva's statement on her Facebook account.

"Mama is here Juls," she wrote in repost accompanied by a broken heart emoji.

Before the official announcement of the breakup, Claudine was asked to comment on Julia and Gerald's relationship on whether a third party was allegedly involved.

"Ako I have no idea. Puro naririnig ko rin lang, ang daming mga fake news, may kung sinu-sinong babae," Claudine told showbiz reporter and talent manager Ogie Diaz, pointing out the latter had already debunked Gerald's links to Gigi de Lana and Arci Muñoz.

After Claudine shared she has yet to cross paths with Gerald at volleyball games, Ogie brought up rumors that Gerald was linked to Cignal HD Spikers player Vanie Gandler, whom Ogie said was friends with the actor.

"Hindi 'yan ang ikinuwento sa akin ng mga babies ko sa volleyball," Claudine said bluntly.
