Minute to Win It on SolarTV

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Minute to Win It (known in pre-production as Perfect 10) is a primetime NBC reality game show hosted by Food Network star Guy Fieri. It is a game show featuring minigame-esque trials that the contestant must pass in order to gain more prize money.

On Minute to Win It, to advance to the next level, the contestant must successfully complete a challenge within a time limit of 60 seconds. If the contestant is able to complete the task before the time runs out, he or she succeeds the challenge and gains more money. Challenge objectives state that the contestant must perform a specific action for the time period, or must complete the task before the end of the time period. If time expires or the conditions of the task cannot be fulfilled (such as by the contestant using up any allotted attempts or committing a foul), the contestant loses a life. If the contestant loses all three of their lives, the game ends and the contestant’s winnings drop down to the previous “safe haven” they passed. These tasks progressively increase in difficulty throughout the game.

Once a task is completed, the contestant can elect to walk away with money earned before seeing the next level’s challenge. However, if the contestant sees the next level’s challenge, he or she must play it out.

In celebrity games, there is no reduction to the “safe havens” — the celebrity player wins, for their charity, the amount of their highest completed stunt.

In the first season of the show, players who failed to complete level five won nothing, however on the second season of the show, after passing the first level, it is assured that the contestant will win at least $1000.

Minute to Win It will premiere on Sept. 13, 7 p.m. on SolarTV.
