Josh Ford on road to recovery after ear, nose surgery
MANILA, Philippines — Former “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 1” housemate Josh Ford has finally had his damaged ear repaired following a 2023 car accident.
Josh shared on Facebook details of the multiple procedures he recently underwent.
“Finally nangyari na. Septoplasty, uncinectomy, polypectomy, left turbinectomy, and left myringoplasty done. Thank You Lord for a successful surgery,” the actor wrote.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Septoplasty straightens the nasal septum, while Uncinectomy is a procedure that clears the blocked passage between the sinuses and allows for proper drainage.
Polypectomy is the removal of polyps, an abnormal tissue growth, that can be found in the nasal passages. Turbinectomy is performed to reduce or remove enlarged nasal turbinates that aims to improve breathing, while myringoplasty is a procedure that repairs the hole in the eardrum.
“Praying for a smooth recovery and better days ahead,” Josh wrote with a praying hands emoji, thanking the people who prayed for his successful surgery.
Josh is the sole survivor of a 2023 car accident in Quezon City that claimed the life of his fellow co-actor Andrei Sison and two others.
