'Missing link' sa Aquino-Galman hanapin - GMA

MANILA, Philippines - Inutusan kahapon ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo si Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez na hanapin ang sinasabing “missing link” sa Aquino-Galman double murder case.

Sinabi ni Press Secretary Cerge Remonde, puwedeng muling buksan ang Aquino-Galman case kung makikita at lulutang si dating Air Force Capt. Felipe Valerio.

“According to Sec. Gonzalez, he has already been instructed by the President to initiate moves to try and locate Valerio and if he will be located, for him to be extradited back to the Philippines, and once he is extradited, for him to be charged as if there is no evidence. That is the only was the case can be reopened,” dagdag pa ni Sec. Remonde.

Naunang sinabi ni PAO chief Persida Acosta na ang mastermind sa pagpatay kina dating Sen. Ninoy Aquino at Rolando Galman ay makikilala lamang kapag muling nabuksan ang kaso.

Si Valerio ay ang commander ng 805th Special Operating Squadron ng Aviation Security Command (Avsecom).

Labing-anim na Avsecom members ang nahatulan sa pagpatay kay Ninoy at Galman maliban kay Valerio. Napalaya na rin ang 16 na convicts sa pamamagitan ng executive clemency ni Pangulong Arroyo. (Rudy Andal)
