UMRT tukion sa Konseho sa Cebu City
CEBU, Philippines — Giaprubahan sa Cebu City Council ang usa resolusyon aron imbitahon ang nagkadaiyang stakeholders sa usa ka executive session aron hisgutan ang hangyo sa Department of Transportation (DTRr) ngadto sa konseho sa pagpahigayon og feasibility study alang sa tukorong Metro Cebu Urban Mass Rapid Transit (UMRT) Central Line.
Sa suwat nga gipadala ngadto kang Bise Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia ug gipirmahan ni Leonel De Velez, Assistant Secretary for Planning and Project Development, gihangyo niini ang Konseho sa siyudad nga mohimo og feasibility study alang sa UMRT.

"The Master Plan identified the UMRT Central Line to serve as the railway-based transport backbone connecting the urban developments of Cebu,” matud pa sa suwat.
Ang maong proyekto pinasubay kini sa Philippine Development Plan 2023-20282 ug Build Better More Infrastructure Project sa administrasyong Marcos nga nagtinguhang matukoran og mga high-capacity mass transit railway lines ang mga priority urban areas ug high-density corridors.
"As an Infrastructure Flagship Project, the UMRT Central Line may be prioritized for funding for a feasibility study,” sumala pa sa maong suwat. Kinahanglan lang sa DOTr nga iendorsar sa Konseho ang maong proyekto aron mogahin sila og pundo alang sa feasibility study.(BANAT NEWS)
