Embiid, George at Griffin ‘di maglalaro sa Game 1

PHILADELPHIA — Maaaring simulan ni center Joel Embiid ang kanyang postseason na nakaupo sa bench.

Hindi tiyak kung maglalaro si Embiid, ang 76ers’ All-Star center, sa Game One ng kanilang first-round playoff series ng Brooklyn Nets dahil sa tendinitis sa kanyang kaliwang tuhod.

“If I can’t go, it means it’s pretty painful,” wika ni Embiid na sumasakit ang kanyang kaliwang tuhod tuwing tumatalon at gumagalaw.

Si Embiid ang makakapagdesisyon kung kaya niyang maglaro sa series opener.

“It’s my decision because I’m the one feeling the pain and it’s my body,” pahayag ng Philadelphia star center.

Nagtala si Embiid ng mga averages na 27.5 points at 11.1 rebounds.

Kung hindi maglalaro si Embiid ay maasahan na­man ng Philadelphia sina All-Star Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick at Tobias Harris sa pagharap sa Brooklyn, ang No. 6 team.

Sa Oklahoma City, hindi makikita sa sahig si Thunder forward Paul George sa kanilang playoff opener ng Portland Trail Blazers.

Ito ay dahil sa sumasakit na kanang balikat ni George, nagtala ng mga averages na 28.0 points at 2.21 steals sa regular season.

Sa Michigan, sinabi ni Detroit Pistons head coach Dwane Casey na walang katiyakan kung maglalaro si star forward Blake Griffin sa Game One ng kanilang first-round series ng top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.
